The plan is to raise money to create a short film/promo which will be used to gain interest in a feature or TV DocuDrama and also as footage for showreel material.   Please visit the Support page and become a part of this project!

The joy of shooting promotional footage for a trailer/short means that I can shoot it here in the UK even with limited resources.  Shots and scenes can be short, we can restrict the angles we shoot and we can restrict the locations we need. We don’t need to see a whole Caribbean island, we can just show a tiny section of beach; footprints in the sand or a duel on a sand spit.  Ship to ship battles won’t be easy either but dramatic character driven scenes on deck or in the bowels of a ship, or a fight in the rigging, can all be done. 

I don’t have a feature script so for the promo I plan to take a number of key events from the reference material and write those into dramatic and captivating scenes.  Then I will gather a team to go and film those scenes and various other trailer style shots.  It is likely that filming will have to be done on a day here and a day there type basis.  How many days, scenes and locations we can shoot will depend on how much money I am able to raise.

The current idea is to start the promo in the prison cell where the women are last together and from there flashback to various significant events from their lives.
